The territory that I work in can be described as the Site Specific, however my practice/research, by its nature, is about exposing the problematics of specificity and the instability of site. I explore the performative potentials of place, and create works that seek to give expression to these places as a re-imagining of social space. My work takes the methodologies of the ethnographer, the voyeur and the innocent by-stander, and seeks to reveal knowledge of self, object and situation in some form or other. My practice generates as many personal questions as it attempts to answer, and this enquiry now sits within an academic framework supported by Middlesex University London as a PhD research Scholarship.
